Bravery Trust is a national military charity which provides current and ex-serving members of the Australian Defence Force with financial aid, financial education and financial counselling. The service is free, confidential and independent. The organisation sets out to provide an immediate safety net for those in hardship and empower veterans and their families through providing specific financial counselling.
Bravery Trust has some of Australia’s most respected and prominent private sector organisations supporting us in the work we do with veterans and their families. Our partners help fund vital services and recognise the extreme sacrifices of veterans injured during service. With their support we can reach out to veterans and families and make sure they know support is available.
About the role
Reporting to the Media and Corporate Affairs Manager, the Fundraising Manager role will develop, manage, and lead the fundraising and partnerships strategy for the organisation. You will identify and harness community and corporate partnerships to increase the fundraising portfolio and raise awareness. Developing new partnerships and events will be key to this roles’ success.
You will also be responsible for managing and tracking partner communications and activities to create reports that reflect progress against fundraising goals. This is an opportunity to think outside the box, bring innovative ideas and suggestions and work in an environment where there is an appetite to try new ideas to further the mission of Bravery Trust and the veterans they reach.

Skills & Experience
- Degree level qualifications in Business, Sales, Sustainability, Social Impact, Fundraising, Marketing or related field – or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in business development and account management, with a demonstrated track record in securing and growing corporate revenue streams in the not for profit sector.
- Deep experience managing prospecting and due diligence processes and pipeline management for lead qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in the engagement of senior level corporate stakeholders for the purpose of strategic influence, partnership establishment and revenue generation.
- High level written and verbal communication skills and expertise in crafting compelling and relevant proposals, reporting and negotiation.
- Ability to be self-motivated, responsive, and flexible in an environment with time pressures and multiple priorities.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
- Strong project and event management skills; and exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
