About the role:

Six Degrees Executive have partnered with a major supplier to the retail, route and food service industries nationally. Our client has been in the industry for over 80 years and are now seeking a talented Data Analyst to join their team. The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support decision-making processes within the organisation. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to extract valuable insights from various data sources, helping the business make data-driven decisions to achieve business objectives.

High Level Remit:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production performance and support business growth.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable insights.
  • Bridge the gap between cloud-based server environments and reporting services for high-level reports and dashboards.
  • Support database management system administration in a live production environment.
  • Ensure data accuracy for regular reporting, running end-of-day and end-of-week reports.
  • Generate insightful reports, dashboards, and visualizations to convey data-driven insights.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Work with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and share knowledge with the team.
The right candidate:
  • Bachelor's/master’s degree in a relevant field or experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Crystal Reports).
  • Strong data visualization skills using tools like Metabase, Power BI, or similar.
  • Familiarity with data modelling, statistical analysis, and numerical concepts
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
  • Experience with data management and cloud-based database systems is desired but not necessary
