About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Supply in an individual contributor capacity, the Sourcing Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring that a range of high value, internationally sourced commodity products are procured in a way that continues to deliver a competitive advantage for this organisation, while working within organisational and regulatory frameworks. Core accountability includes:

  • Building and maintaining effective, strong, and trusted relationships with key commodity suppliers around the world.
  • Identifying, assessing, and engaging new vendors to deliver superior commercial outcomes and minimise supply risk.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable organisational Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
  • Monitoring and evaluating contract performance to determine necessity for amendments, extensions, or review of contracts of supply.
  • Close collaboration with the broader supply chain team to ensure that supply chain plans can be achieved.
 
The Successful Profile
  • Demonstrated experience applying formal strategic sourcing and supplier relationship and performance management processes in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Global sourcing experience and a proven ability to negotiate high-value, bulk commodity purchases.
  • First class interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, engineering or supply chain.
