The Opportunity
This is a true leadership role across process engineering and engineering design. With 7 direct reports, you will lead the process engineering team in concept principles through to design and engineering, development of new ideas and design engineering, and review process engineering practises. You will prepare process design criteria, process flow diagrams, and review all CAD team outputs.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the review of the existing process engineering practises to understand where, when and how we can improve.
• Ensure process designs meet required safety standards and actively participate in HAZOP studies and design reviews
• Deliver best practice process designs in accordance with project, time, budget and technical requirements
• Develop innovative solutions to complex process and technical problems
• Prepare process deliverables such as process design criteria, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, piping and instrumentation diagrams, process control philosophies, operating cost estimates and study reports
• Assist with business development activities and the preparation of proposal documentation
• Input to the CAD team to ensure all elements of the design process are incorporated
Skills and Experience
• Degree Qualified in Engineering field, chemical or mechanical would be advantageous
• Strong understanding of the innovation process development
• Ability to review and correct drafting and modelling work completed by others
• Strong communication skills, with an ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to mathematically model process scenarios and engage others through the process.
• Enthusiastic, high level of energy, goal driven, tenacious and team orientated.
• Min 8 years in a leadership role, with process engineering background.
• Experience in CAD design and project management
