Australia's foremost private consortium, boasting an annual revenue of $400 million and demonstrating steady expansion, operates within the manufacturing and engineering sector. Given its robust business growth, a recently established role has emerged within the well-established and seasoned FP&A team.

The Finance team is an integral part of the Group. The position will support the group businesses which design, engineer and manufacture high performance luxury/niche cars, parts and accessories in domestic and export markets, motor racing and sports equipment wholesaling. The Group has a long history and has recently undergone a period of significant change and is looking for an enthusiastic candidate willing to learn about the automotive manufacturing business in a broad-based financial role.
 
Reporting to and work closely with the Group FP&A Manager, you will have the opportunity to directly influence the performance and success of the group. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated analyst looking to gain experience and impact across the whole P&L.


The role will provide financial insight into the operational performance of the automotive businesses of the Group through:
  • Monthly interrogation of accounts and preparation for customer invoicing across all vehicle lines (Cost-plus Business model).
  • Detailed analysis of Revenue and Cost to drive better financial management processes and account governance.
  • Presentation of Monthly Results, Forecast and new pricing to customers.
  • Drive improved organisational commercial acumen through the analysis and reporting on actual costs of production (materials, labour, consumables, production damages), stock adjustments, labour time-sheeting monthly.
  • Support partnering for value with operational department heads to review ongoing performance.
  • Involvement with business case financial modelling and analysis.
  • Assistance in the development of the rolling 24-Month forecast and annual budget.
  • Support during the year end audit and preparation of statutory accounts.
This position is suited for someone studying towards CA/CPA (completed is beneficial) but not a must, ideally if you have a couple of years Management Accountant experience OR come from a professional services background, looking to make a first move into industry.
