Our client is a global leader in providing sustainable water solutions, leading in the manufacture and sales of water treatment and fluid handling equipment. This is an international business with over 11,000 employees globally. This role will sit onsite at their Western Sydney based factory, which has about 60 headcount across the manufacturing operation.

The Opportunity

This is an Electronics Product Engineer role, responsible for the design, development and product maintenance of the Electronics Product portfolio for air systems business, including providing differentiated pre & post sales application and technical support and product expertise. You will be joining a team of 5 in the R&D team which sits in the broader engineering team.  The role is based in Milperra in Sydney.
The role is 80% product management and 20% design. Communication and stakeholder management skills are key.
 
Core responsibilities
  • Develop electronics products to meet performance standards, market requirements and efficient manufacturing targets.
  • Provide technical support on electronics related products and applications, installation guidelines to Sales personnel and customers.
  • Assist with development projects coordination, including project management, time and budget control, liaison with vendors, customers and sub-contractors.
  • Conduct product testing, to validate product changes, identify product improvements or to support troubleshooting activities.
  • Responsible for assisting manufacturing staff to implement process improvements and operating instructions to ensure consistent assembly of components.
 
 Skill and Experience Required
  • Electronics or Electrical Engineering Degree & experience
  • Familiarity and experience with International Industrial and Electrical Safety Standards (UL, CSA, ISO, ATEX, IEC, RCM etc.)
  • Experience/knowledge of an ERP system (SAP is preferable).
  • Knowledge of 3D SolidWorks and/or AutoDesk AutoCAD & Inventor
  • Coding knowledge is preferable.
