Our Client
A large US based multinational who help the world sustainably move, improve and enjoy water are looking for a Purchasing Officer to join their team.
 
In this role you will be working in a manufacturing environment, responsible for the coordination and optimisation of the procurement activities to ensure sufficient product supply to meet customer demand.
Responsibilities for the role:
  • Purchasing and ordering components
  • Manage the purchasing cycle, including generating requisitions and PO creation
  • Provide uninterrupted flow of materials ensuring the right inventory levels
  • Create purchasing strategies on issues of short supply, promotions and launches
  • Request and receive quotes from existing suppliers
  • Monitor vendor delivery performance
  • Create new materials in SAP
  • Create and maintain up-to-date source lists
  • Assist with New Vendor Selection
 
This role is working on site at their offices near Bankstown.
 
About you
You will be an experienced Procurement or Purchasing Officer who will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Strong analytical capabilities and previous MRP & excel experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Understanding of the supply chain cycle
  • Previous SAP experience will be an advantage
