Commercial Manager
A leading national business, with head office-based CBD fringe. A specialist in providing contract or on-hire staff, primarily to the horticulture sector. Over time, the organization has broadened its scope to offer personnel solutions, encompassing both temporary and permanent staff, to a diverse array of industries across most regions in Australia. Our services now extend to various sectors, including healthcare, industrial, horticulture, domestic and commercial construction, administration, transport and logistics, civil construction, waste management, security, and mining.
Reporting to the CEO, this Commercial Manager will look after a combination of Commercial & Risk Management:
Key Accountabilities
Commercial Management
•Develop and implement effective commercial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
•Incorporate and implement the requirements of the Risk Management Framework and Compliance Framework into day-to-day business activities.
•Regularly evaluate, register, and monitor all business-related risks and engaging other key stakeholders as required.
•Ensure our insurance policies align to our business requirements and protect.
•Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
•Manage and negotiate contracts, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company.
•Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to foster long-term partnerships.
•Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats.
•Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to achieve cohesive and integrated business strategies.
•Lead the insurance renewal process to ensure the company risk position is minimised.
•Lead a team of commercial professionals (comprised of internal and external), providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
Financial Risk Management
•Ensure controllership and consistency of accounting processes, drive controllership and process awareness among the finance team and ensures strict finance compliance.
•Review external Client Agreements to ensure there is minimal risk to the Franchisor & Franchisee
•Review supplier agreements and provide advice on areas to strengthen business position.
•Drive financial rigor in all aspects of our business.
•Debtor management, development of process
•Credit risk management & development of process
•Insolvency management & contract (FA) management Working with all franchisees to maximise margins.
