About the role
To actively market the products and services provided and distributed by the company and to do all things within their power and to the best of their ability to obtain new customers or clients for the Company.
Responsible for Sales and Support including:
- Establish a thorough understanding of customers’ business needs and establish & build solid relationships with all customers.
- Plan & present tailored solutions based on customers’ needs.
- Prospect for new customers and convert this to increased business.
- Grow & retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions to customers.
- Prepare regular sales performance reports & weekly business calls as required.
- Achieve budgeted sales targets
- Liaise with internal and external customers by telephone, face to face and e-mail to provide product advice
- Ensure client call notes and contact details are updated daily into the company CRM system
- Assist in the development of the annual sales plan, specifically advising on realistic forecasts for each product in the sales territory.
- Provide quotations through Syspro (ERP system)
- Liaise with clients for on-site measurements and project requirements sufficient for in-house engineering and design, through to approval for production
- Investigations and reporting on customer issues and confirmation of orders.
- Provide first point-of-call technical advice to customers
- Support other team members and sales staff with advice and assistance
- General sales administration and office function
- Comply with the laws of Australia, and the technical regulations affecting the manufacture and supply of equipment for the lift industry
- 5+ years of sales experience within B2B, ideally in the lift industry
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Proven experience of managing customer expectations
- Strong sales skills with commitment to a high level of customer service
- Able to undertake interstate travel to service the assigned region effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and solid organization skills
- Resilient and exceptional relationship and time management skills
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and KPIs
- Comfortable working alone and from a satellite office
