About the roles:
 
We have a number of temp/contract Payroll Officer roles coming up, ranging from 3-12 months, offering you a chance to work on diverse projects and gain exposure to various organizations throughout Sydney. Our clients operate predominantly within the FMCG, Pharma and manufacturing sectors.
 
A payroll officer manages employee pay, calculates taxes, handles deductions, maintains records, and ensures accurate and on-time payroll processing. 
 
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Processing end-to-end payroll accurately and on time.
  • Calculating wages, deductions, and taxes while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to verify employee data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintaining meticulous records and preparing reports for auditing purposes.
  
About you:
 
  • 5 years of proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and systems.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and employees.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address payroll discrepancies and issues.
