Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Planning Manager to play a pivotal role in optimizing their production processes, ensuring timely product delivery, and aligning with customer demands and business goals.
 
Position Overview:
 
As the Production Planning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the production and supply planning processes to ensure operational excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), and take charge of intricate production planning responsibilities.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Plan production of all products, ensuring raw materials and ingredients are ordered within stated lead times and received in time for production.
  • Create monthly production schedules by product line.
  • Analyze historical data and market trends to make informed supply planning decisions.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and address any supply-related issues.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders for all imported products.
  • Proactively identify potential supply chain issues and propose solutions to mitigate disruption.
  • Set safety stock levels to cover demand, manufacturing, or logistics fluctuations.
  • Prepare and chair weekly S&OP meetings with the Sales Team to ensure alignment.
  • Manage the Critical Stock-On-Hand report, investigating and remedying low stock items where possible.
  • Prepare and chair monthly supply reviews to optimize production and supply chain.
  • Manage the Manufacturing Loss of Revenue (MLOR) process, providing clear reporting on potential write-off stock.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in New Product Development (NPD) meetings, addressing production and supply concerns.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production planning and supply chain management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of production scheduling and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in using planning and ERP software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
  • A track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
