About the client
Our client, a leading luxury athletics brand, is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the cutting-edge operations at their newly built, automated Distribution Centre (DC) in the northern suburbs. This unique role offers an immediate start on a short-term contract until the end of May, with promising prospects for extension and permanent placement in the future.
As the Operations Supervisor, you will be entrusted with overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day activity metrics within the state-of-the-art automated DC. Your responsibilities will encompass reporting, coordination of operations, and active involvement in managing inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations within the automated DC, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
  • Manage and analyse activity metrics, providing insightful reports to enhance operational performance.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and optimize resource allocation.
  • Actively engage in inventory management, ensuring accurate stock control and timely replenishment.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment or strong inventory manager experience with the ability to lead.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive operational improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in utilizing industry-specific software and tools for operational management.
