Our Client
A global international engineering and service company are looking for a Procurement Category manager to mange their indirect portfolio.
 
The role
As the Procurement Category Manager, you will be responsible for end to end procurement across their indirect spend across ANZ. This is a strategy focused procurement role as opposed to more transactional.
Main responsibilities for the role:
  • Develop procurement strategies and category plans
  • Build supplier strategies and negotiate pricing
  • Lead contract implementations and resolve contract related issues
  • Runs end to end Procurement projects
  • Act as global category lead for ANZ
  • Report monthly portfolio savings, program updates
 
This role is based in Mascot with free parking on site. They also operate a hybrid model of working with flexibility to work from home and in the office.
 
About you
To be successful for this role, you will be a procurement professional with category management experience. You’ll also be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Experience with end to end procurement for direct or indirect spend
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Be strategy focused and with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong negotiation and communication abilities
