Our client is Australian based online trading provider focused on delivering great trading tools and pro trading insight to enable smarter trading. They specialise in providing online Forex and CFD trading solutions to clients worldwide.

Role purpose:
Experienced Operations Leader sought to join the team and help drive growth in European markets.
The Operations team plays a pivotal role in managing the trading and payment operations of the organisation – maintaining financial stability, transparency, and integrity of their operations.
As a specialist in Risk and Operations this role will lead the Client Risk, Trading Operations and Payment Operations functions for the Company. This role is accountable for overseeing the day-to-day operations and providing the overall vision and strategy for the team.

Key responsibilities:
The Risk & Operations teams identify, investigate, and mitigate company risk and shape the trading environment and client experience through competitive pricing and trading conditions that have become synonymous with their brand.
 
  • Working with key stakeholders to evaluate Company performance to assess and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external operational processes. This includes sales, revenue and profitability, cash-flow, budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation.
  • Creating and implementing effective policies, tools, and processes to promote and measure the effectiveness and effectiveness of the department.
  • Assist with developing strategic partnerships and relationships.
  • Enforcing compliance to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the Company’s legal compliance and business ethics.
  • Direct the on-going development, deployment and evolution of the Company’s risk models and risk frameworks.
  • Maintain and evolve the Company’s risk limits, policies, procedures, and risk reporting in line with the risk appetite.
  • Ensure the ongoing efficacy of the Company’s risk controls through regular and systematic risk based internal audit.
  • Responsible for delivering the required trading infrastructure and conditions for our clients, whilst complying to risk and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for and managing the process in capturing client money including the funding and withdrawal processes.
  • Maintain and build relationships with Payment Service Providers.
  • Liaising with external auditors.
 
Profile of candidate sought:
  • A specialist in Risk and Operations with expertise across Risk and Compliance, Payment Operations and Trading Operations
  • Experience overseeing the day-to-day operations of a similar business and contributing to the vision and strategy
  • Experience leading a global team
  • Financial services sector experience – ideally with deep expertise in derivatives / trading (FX, Shares, etc)
  • Appropriate degree qualification (Finance, Commerce, Mathematics)
