The Organisation

Redland Premium Fruit are a newly formed organisation in Regional Victoria with already a strong connection to the local community as an employer of 600+ people at peak times. They are a Goulbourn Valley based fruit processing and packing enterprise, who are part of the Redland Business Group. They operate fruit packing facilities, cool rooms and warehouses in Mooroopna and Shepparton. They are the result of a large site coming under new ownership, because of this there is considerable appetite for investment, growth, and modernisation of the operation. Operating in both domestic and international export markets, this vertically integrated agri-business is investing in its future success from a people and operations perspective.

Six Degrees Executive are exclusively recruiting for a newly created position managing their operations function. This is a greenfield role which will give you the opportunity to create a legacy within an organisation with ambitious growth plans.
 

The Opportunity

Redland Premium Fruit is in search of a dedicated Facilities Manager to oversee operations at five different sites spanning multiple locations close to Mooroopna. These sites encompass two major production/processing facilities, along with several cold storage rooms.
As the Facilities Manager, you will be tasked with managing a diverse range of services including Building & grounds, fire protection, HVAC, building management systems, security, gardening/landscaping, and more. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, as well as adhering to local, state, and national regulations, while also meeting ESG requirements and environmental certifications. Working closely with procurement, you will seek to establish favourable agreements that enhance the quality of services provided by our suppliers. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing planned preventative maintenance programs to guarantee the longevity of our facilities. This role involves supervising both in-house staff and contractors, making you an integral part of our team.
 
Skills and Experience Required

We are in search of a Facilities Manager with a proven knack for building processes and systems from the ground up. The ideal candidate should boast a solid background, encompassing at least 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related field. They should possess a deep understanding of technical and engineering operations, coupled with a command of industry best practices. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are paramount, alongside top-notch organizational and leadership capabilities. The candidate should excel in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making. Proficiency in warehouse control systems and a working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems are highly advantageous. Above all, the successful candidate will be a team leader with outstanding interpersonal skills.
