My client is searching for a contract / temp construction site manager to lead a high-end $2m office fit out and refurbishment project located in Brisbane CBD. You will be working for a well-respected builder that has demonstrated steady year on year growth, and due to excellent repeat client relationships, has won another terrific project.
The duration of this contract position will be approximately 10 weeks, with potential for further employment opportunities. As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all trades, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities, including the subcontractors to ensure they adhere to the project schedule.
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety on-site requirements.
  • Provide regular communication to the Project Manager, outlining any complications or risks that may arise.
  • Ensure work is carried out in compliance with building regulations, planning permission and company policies.
  • Conduct quality checks on materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the project standards.
  • Ensure the project is tidy and clean prior to being handed over.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Site Manager working on fit out or refurbishment projects ranging from $100k to $5mil+ in value.
  • Strong level of construction knowledge, best practices, regulations, and health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
  • QBCC supervisors license and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Proven experience with trade procurement, trade coordination / scheduling and program management.
  • Relevant trade-based qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.
