Company overview
This organisation is an innovative and progressive FMCG company listed on the ASX. They are seeking a talented and experienced Non-Executive Director to join the Board of Directors and chair the Audit and Risk Committee ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance and contributing to the strategic direction of the company.
 
Position Overview:
As a Non-Executive Director, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial health, governance, compliance and risk management. You will utilise your expertise, strategic insight, and deep financial acumen to contribute to the company's growth, stability, and success.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Chair the Audit and Risk Committee: Lead the committee in ensuring robust internal controls, compliance, and risk management practices.
  • Financial Oversight: Provide guidance and oversight on financial reporting, including audits, to maintain transparency and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Strategic Contribution: Offer strategic input to the board to facilitate informed decision-making and ensure the company's long-term success.
  • Corporate Governance: Maintain the highest ethical and governance standards in all business operations and decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with shareholders, regulators, and other key stakeholders to uphold the company's reputation and trust.
 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experienced Non-Executive Director 
  • Qualified CPA (Certified Practising Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant).
  • Extensive experience as a CFO in an ASX-listed business.
  • Proven experience in audit and risk management.
  • A solid understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements in Australia.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • A track record of maintaining the highest ethical and corporate governance standards.
