Six Degrees Executive are partnering with a large ASX listed Australian agribusiness who have been at the forefront of their market for over 30 years. We are currently recruiting a Capital Projects Engineer for their Sydney facility. This role comes at a crucial time for the business as they have a major capital works program to undertake. Already there is over $2 million in projects already in scope and with budget for the next 9 months. As their market share continues to grow these projects are crucial to increase capacity to meet demand.
This is a hands on leadership role where apart from delivering outcomes you will also be responsible for 1 control systems engineer and will be the main point of contact for any contractors engaged to facilitate specific aspect of work. You will also be a key influencer across the entire site and support the Site manager with the sites transition into a modern contemporary work environment. If you have been through this type of change management process previously that would be advantageous. Projects currently within scope include a water/waste-water upgrade, a batch cooker upgrade and a boiler upgrade. The current key projects are valued at close to $500k and $1m.
To be successful in this role you will have experience delivering capital works projects in a food / agribusiness environment where the processes rely on rotating equipment, heat generation and high pressure generation. You will understand best practice project management and will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget. As with all roles, safety is of paramount importance and you will be expected to be a leader in the safety space and provide an environment where all staff on site have a safety first mindset.
