Our client is a leading international FMCG business with operations across Australia working closely with some of the world's biggest names in food and beverage. With 6 operational sites in ANZ, you will be joining a business with a strong track record in the local market that continues to push for ongoing excellence in the realm of product quality and client satisfaction.

About the opportunity

The Quality Manager role is responsible for the execution and ownership of the site Quality program, based out of Melbourne's south eastern suburbs. Reporting into a well established FMCG leader with exposure across multiple disciplines, you will inherit an existing team of 3 and work collaboratively across other operational functions to ensure quality continues to be embedded within the business.

Specific to this role, you will be responsible for liaising with core B2B customers including global FMCG businesses and SMEs on all things quality and compliance. You will own the site compliance program to certifications across quality and food safety, while growing and mentoring the existing team of quality professionals to ensure professional development and increased functional capability.

What we are looking for 

From a technical perspective, we are looking for an established FMCG quality professional with previous/current functional leadership experience. With good existing quality infrastructure in place, you will know what "good" looks like and bring a CI mindset to identify opportunities to improve across core quality metrics. GMP exposure will hold you in good stead in this role however it is not an essential requirement of the role.

People side, we are looking for a leader who can blend technical skillset with a well rounded EQ, someone who knows how to get the best out of a team and foster a growth and collaborative mindset. You will be adept at handling challenging conversations across stakeholder groups in a productive manner, be it internal (shopfloor to leadership) or external (client side) to ensure positive business outcomes.
