Our client is an established industrial manufacturing business in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, operating in the B2B space across a range of sectors including defence and infrastructure. About the role 

Reporting into the Head of Operations, the Production Supervisor will oversee a team of 8-10 people in a mechanical machining and assembly environment. Core focus areas for this role will include:
  • Driving DIFOT and maintaining day-to-day production targets
  • Ensuring the highest quality of work in line with the internal Quality Management System
  • Fostering a zero-harm environment for workplace health and safety
  • Training and development of existing and new production team members

What we are looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership/supervisory role, circa 2-5 years
  • Tertiary qualifications within a mechanical field will be advantageous 
  • Industry backgrounds in industrial manufacturing, building materials, bespoke product or FMCG
  • Strong people skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation both upwards and downwards
