THE ROLE  
Reporting to the Brand Marketing Manager, this fast-paced role will apply a strategic, creative, and commercial approach to leading the Milwaukee Events Function. Through working with one direct report and external agencies, you will be responsible for delivering Milwaukee’s event strategy and rolling calendar of events for internal, dealer and end user audiences. You will disrupt the Industrial market with bold and innovative events that deliver impact and effectively communicate Milwaukee’s Unique Value Proposition. With a key focus on the ‘audience’ guided by our research and insights, you will position us as the brand of choice to the professional trade user to drive market share acquisition. Leading as a brand advocate you will ensure all execution is in line with brand guidelines, budgets, commercial goals, and drives future brand preference. The successful candidate will lead with a positive ‘can do’ approach, in line with the values of ‘The Milwaukee Way’.
 
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of 5 years’ end-to-end event management experience
  • Formal qualifications or degree in event planning – highly desirable
  • Extensive event management experience with a demonstrated track record in creative and strategic planning and successful execution of small to large scale events
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and effective communication skills
  • High level planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work on several competing events simultaneously
  • Extremely high attention to detail. You will have high standards across every aspect and detail of an event
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt and operate with a strong sense of urgency
  • Brand custodian committed to ensuring compliance with our brand guidelines
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Experience in managing external vendors, agencies and budgets
  • Passion, dedication, and commitment to events with a positive attitude 
  • Ability to work after hours and on weekends as needed and travel regionally and interstate when required
