Responsibilities of the Role:
- Monitor and manage day-to-day operations to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Oversee procurement of raw materials, packaging, and consumables essential for production.
- Conduct regular stock takes to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery operates efficiently with minimal downtime.
- Generate and analyze performance reports, implementing strategies for improvement.
- Champion workplace health and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with WHS standards.
- Lead and manage a diverse workforce, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and teamwork.
- Forge strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to optimize production processes and costs.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Qualifications in relevant fields such as Workplace Health & Safety, Site Leadership, or Process Improvement are advantageous.
- Proven experience in managing manufacturing/production sites, with a focus on operational excellence.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving KPIs.
- Technical background in manufacturing, engineering, or related fields is desirable.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Financial acumen with the ability to analyze profit and loss statements.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving performance and meeting production demands.
