About the company 

Our client is dynamic, highly innovative FMCG organisation seeking a self-motivated and experienced procurement professional to step into a newly created Procurement Manager role to elevate the procurement function for the business. You will report into the Head of Supply Chain and play a critical role in the future growth aspirations of the company, ensuring its continued growth and success. Modern offices in the city fringes, offering collaborative and high performing culture. 

Key Responsibilities 
  • Develop and execute the procurement strategy that delivers cost savings, risk reduction, and value creation for the organisation.
  • Develop strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Ensure procurement policies and processes are in place and adhered to, ensuring a high level of integrity and transparency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs and ensure that procurement activities align with the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and best practices in procurement and continuously strive to improve processes and results.
Skills and Experience 
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement within FMCG environments, must have food industry experience
  • Ideally 5+ experience within direct categories including fresh produce, ingredients, packaging
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  • A deep understanding of procurement processes, with experience in contract management, supplier selection, and supplier performance management.
  • Ideally Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
