Our client is a provider of high-end consumer goods who is looking for immediate support within their accounting team.
 
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Finance & Operations, this newly created role is being established as an initial 6-month contract role with a view to permanency. The role is responsible for various tasks including assisting with transactional finance, coordinating operational activities to ensure seamless workflow, as well as assistance with inventory management and maintaining databases, tracking financial and operational metrics of the business as well as providing advice to support the company’s decision-making when required.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Assist the Finance team in the month-end process.
  • Process invoices other financial transactions including processing service agent invoices and credit notes.
  • Perform Accounts Receivable function including sending statements to customers and collection and allocation of receipts into the system.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Review and post Credit Card transactions.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations.
  • Assist the Head of Finance and Operations in coordinating operational activities as directed.
  • Maintain inventory records and working with the Supply Chain Coordinator to ensure stock count accuracy.
  • Any other duties the Head of Finance and Operations requires assistance with.
 
About you
  • Medium to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Good understanding of SAP ByDesign (nice to have)
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
  • Professional and service oriented attitude towards internal and external stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and can-do attitude.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ideally studying towards or have completed CPA/CA.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment while managing own priorities.
