About the role
This role is responsible for ensuring the company meets its growth objectives by exceeding the state’s new business budget through the acquisition of compatible and profitable new customers. Success in the role will be enabled when a safe culture is achieved and the application of standards, policies, procedures and legislative requirements is consistent across the business. This is a frontline role, which requires a high level of communication and commercial acumen to be applied every day.
The purpose of the role is to drive growth through the acquisition of new customers by leading, developing and attributing to the growth of the NSW sales team to optimise their performance and by personally developing and securing significant opportunities in the NSW market.

About the role

Duties
- Meet agreed sales targets;
- Plan, implement and evaluate sales activities.
- Develop a strong knowledge of the services provided by our client.
- Create new business by contacting prospective customers and evaluating their interest in examining or using our service.
- Identify and maximise all business through the submission of proposals and presentations;
- Provide quotations to existing and prospective customers;
- Manage handover process for new accounts;
- Contribute to the development of clear sales strategic objectives that demonstrate a firm focus on business expectations; identify opportunities for growth that address the short and long-term direction of the
- company;
- Regularly review quarterly plans against actual outcomes and adjust as required to ensure they continue to align to overall objectives and targets;
Skills and Experience
- Sound transport industry knowledge would be highly regarded, however broader industrial services experience will also be considered
- Established B2B Sales experience with a proven track record of success in acquiring new business in a solution orientated sales environment
- Ideally have an understanding of the bulk and parcel express freight services sector
- Experience working collaboratively within a cohesive team to achieve a common goal
- Excellent planning and administrative abilities
