About the role

You will be responsible for surpassing established sales goals and overall management, focusing on margin percentage maximization for all accounts within the NSW market. You will be able to sequentially grow the NSW territory through a combination of strategic new business development and effective leveraging of exisiting key accounts, collaborating effectively from a cross-departmental perspective in the process. Through channels of both direct sales and hire, you will be instrumental in sourcing, engaging and liaising with key stakeholders across some of our clients core markets, including Building & Construction, Industrial, Commercial, Government and Education, building robust and sustainable relationships and offering best-in-class service in the process.


Duties

  • Exhibiting a positive attitude and high degree of initiative is essential for success in this role.
  • Expanding our clients business through custom and specialty projects across various sectors including education, outside school hours care, commercial, government, and healthcare.
  • Collaborating with the Operations team for bid and contract preparation, ensuring compliance with company's pricing, credit, and payment policies.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with regional clients.
  • Identifying and monitoring target markets, and competitors, and reporting on activities.
  • Representing the company ethically and professionally.
  • Handling daily sales, contract documentation and maintaining proper files on all leads and projects within Salesforce.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction post-sales and resolving any arising issues.
  • Participating in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.
  • Traveling within the assigned regions for customer development and maintenance.

Skills and Experience

  • Motivated self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in the equipment hire industry is preferred.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while identifying new opportunities.
  • Proven sales skills in business development and market growth.
  • Potential to develop skill sets for internal promotion.
  • Flexible, able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to achieve results and expand the business.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Microsoft applications is beneficial.
  • A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
