About the role 

As the Procurement Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives and managing supplier relationships to ensure the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. You will lead a dedicated team, oversee procurement operations, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that align with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Manage the procurement budget and ensure cost savings through effective negotiation and supplier management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure the delivery of quality products and services.
  • Monitor market trends and identify potential risks and opportunities within the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support new product development, production, and operational efficiency.
We invite candidates with the following experience to apply: 
  • Proven experience in a senior procurement role within the food industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive a team towards excellence.
  • Experience gained from working in global, matrixed organisations
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and market dynamics.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and make strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ideally Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
