About The Role:
The General Manager role will be split roughly 50% client work and senior counsel, and 50% growth and operations of the Melbourne PR and Communications teams. The growth and operations remit involves leading the day to day rhythm with all PR teams delivering best results. You will also play a pivotal role as senior counsel on a number of major clients and jumping in on broader client support when needed. Working closely with the co founders, you will be involved in the strategic planning and execution of growth plans for the agency, identifying organic opportunities within the business as well as keeping abreast of trends across the industry.

- Driving DEI initiatives
- Managing team and culture building activities and events
- Forecasting and P&L management
- Manage 3 direct reports overseeing both the consumer and behaviour change divisions
- Leading on major clients, light touch on various other clients
- New business development and BD leadership across the business
Skills and Experience:
- 12+ years communications/PR/brand/creative agency experience
- General Management experience, or similar, leading multiple teams and overseeing operations, client services and business development in an agency setting
- Proven experience maintaining and growing major clients
- Strong commercial acumen; forecasting, financial planning
- Experience overseeing all business operations, managing workflow and driving productivity across the team
- Experience collaborating on business strategy and driving initiatives to ensure targets are met
- Highly detailed, come with effective systems and processes to drive efficiencies
- Unflappable, can juggle lots of balls and energise and inspire the team
- Strong people leaderships skills, human centric approach
- Integrity, reliability, ambitious and kind
