The role
The Senior NPD Technologist role will report into the Director of Product as part of a lean, agile team of 2 in the Product space. This NPD role is a little bit different from most, working not only on the product side but also manufacturing and commercialisation activities within an agile environment.
The Senior NPD role will not only be responsible for driving end to end product development and innovation activities, but be a true embedded part of the operations function as a technical subject matter expert for commercialising of goods. In this role, you will be working closely with a number of different functional touch points across manufacturing, quality, procurement, innovation and sales/marketing. Your day to day could include ingredients sourcing activities with procurement, manufacturing commercialisation activities with production or compliance and Bill of Materials work with the quality function.
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will be both a thought leader and people leader, someone who can blend the worlds of food science and manufacturing. High level influencing skills are critical in this role, working across various disciplines from front line to senior business leaders. Technically, experience in liquid processing and/or short shelf life product will be well regarded, however wider FMCG will also be considered. Core requirements for this role will be:

- Demonstrated end to end product development experience - within a FMCG setting
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, both internal to your business and external
- Industry relevant qualifications - Food Science, Engineering etc.
