Role overview:
The National Business Development Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing the organization’s sales strategies to achieve business growth by active selling and management of the strategic active customer base. Key duties & responsibilities:
- Drive strategic customer engagement across a clearly defined active portfolio of customers within Mining, Defence, Agriculture, Goverment and Emergency Services
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Plan, oversee and execute various sales and marketing campaigns across various channels (customer visits, telephone calls, digital, print & social media)
- Have input into driving marketing campaigns including website, articles, email campaigns, case studies, media posts and promotional materials.
- Prepare and carry out technical presentations for interstate or overseas customers.
- Identify and negotiate partnerships, sponsorships or collaborations that align with marketing goals.
- Assist the Managing Director in growing sales and strategic customer engagement activities.
- Prepare monthly sales and marketing report.
- Upkeep on CRM and customer contract staregies/processes
- Approving costs and quotes to remain within yearly budget
- Proven experience in technical business development roles - Broad industrial manufacturing/technical industry background
- Ideally have SME and corporate business experience
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Able to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Be proficiant in the use of CRM
- Strong project management skills.
- Technical presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally
