About the company
Kids Under Cover (KUC) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to preventing and ending youth homelessness. Since 1989, we have supported vulnerable and disadvantaged young people aged 12-25 by providing stable, secure accommodation and scholarships. Our studios house nearly 1,000 young people each night and we are implementing a range of other innovative models. We strive to create a nurturing environment for vulnerable youth, offering them stability and the opportunity to thrive.

About the role
Reporting to the CEO and serving as an integral member of the Senior Management Team, the Head of Fundraising and Communications will provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for their respective portfolios. You will develop and implement a long-term Fundraising and Communications strategy to ensure sustainable growth across all income streams, while driving engagement and enhancing the profile of Kids Under Cover.

Skills & Experience
  • Extensive strategic fundraising experience with the ability to set clear direction and realistic strategic objectives across all income streams including philanthropy, trusts, major donors, individual giving, corporate partnerships, bequests, events, appeals and community fundraising.
  • Proven success in growing income through diverse fundraising activities.
  • A strong track record as both a strategic thinker and implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently.
  • Extensive experience in strategic communications and marketing, with a proven ability to enhance an organisation's profile and impact.
  • High level of financial acumen with experience managing complex budgets.
  • Experience influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • An inspirational leader who thrives on complexity and teamwork, you will demonstrate great people leadership skills and a passion for the cause.
