General Manager - Aged Care

Procurement Australia is a leading aggregator of procurement services, specialising in creating value through innovative and sustainable solutions. With a strong history of simplifying buying processes for councils, they have evolved into a customer-focused, growth-driven organisation, maintaining their role as the top buying group while leading the way in supplier relationships and innovation.
The organisation is going through a phase of transformation with a newly appointed CEO and Chief Commercial Officer bringing a depth of experience to deliver against the 3-year strategic plan focusing on digital and customer transformation.
About the Role
This senior position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and is a key member of the Procurement Australia (PA) Sales Leadership Team. This role is responsible for the continued revenue, gross margin and customer channel growth for the Aged Care market across the majority of the company’s core products and service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
• Developing new profitable business, achievement of the annual sales and margin budget
• Building major customer relationships, expanding the customer/membership and actively contributing to the successful development of the Aged Care sector for the business.
• The position plays a key role in sales strategy and future growth of the organisation.
Skills & Experience
The individual will have a strong commercial background, they will be a sound negotiator that sells on value and can demonstrate how they have delivered growth from key customers within Aged Care. They will also have the following skillset:
• Commercial exposure to Aged Care markets is required.
• Strong commercial experience operating in a multi sector sales or operational environment within the Aged Care sector, ideally at a national level.
• Demonstrated success in business development and customer channel growth in a mid to large sized sophisticated aged care organisations.
• An experienced senior sale and or business development professional, with a solid understanding of account management, sales administration and business pitch/tender processes within the Aged Care sector.
• Prior demonstrated experience effectively managing people located in geographic regions.
