About the role:
The key purpose of the National Campaign Manager is to lead a team of campaign management specialists in the effective development and delivery of marketing activities that support Vicinity’s marketing strategy and drive positive commercial outcomes. Marketing activities will include but are not limited to tailored programs, campaigns, partnerships, and digital engagement for Vicinity’s asset segments. Working closely with the Heads of Brand and Marketing, you will have a thorough knowledge of Vicinity's diverse portfolio of shopping centres and develop strategies that support localised requirements for each asset segment. This will involve utilising consumer research and insights to develop marketing frameworks and toolkits tailored for our asset segments and supporting in the delivery and execution of activity. This will include initiatives that support the strategic direction of the segment, such as brand awareness activity (as required), sales initiatives, digital content, partnerships, media, events and activations that can be customised and tailored to the needs of our consumers ensuring sustainable long-term consumer loyalty and competitive advantage for our portfolio of centres.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Effectively lead a team of 10 marketers with 5 direct reports; people leadership, professional development, performance reviews, succession planning etc.
  • Lead the Campaign team to develop and implement national campaign strategies keeping the consumer at the heart of everything we do
  • Oversee the creation of campaign plans, including creative campaign development and execution, media, partnerships, and digital content that are tailored and deliver positive commercial outcomes
  • Set and communicate measurable objectives for each campaign
  • As a member of the marketing leadership team, collaborate and actively participate in the annual marketing planning process
  • Utilise consumer research and insights, developing brand guidelines to support the go-to-market strategy for multiple asset groups
  • Build and manage the national campaign budget
  • Engage and manage external agencies as required
  • Ensure all campaigns comply with the Vicinity Marketing Playbook as well as legal, risk, and data governance requirements
  • Regular reporting and company presentations as needed
 
Key Requirements: 
  • 10+ years marketing experience from retail and/or brand marketing with competency in modern, results driven marketing.
  • Proven experience leading teams in complex environments demonstrating the leadership capability to drive high performance and cross functional collaboration
  • Strategic marketing expertise including data & insights, frameworks, methodologies and channels
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Marketing legal, risk and compliance knowledge
  • Interpersonal and Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Financial acumen and proven performance to drive value and commercial results.
  • Challenge the status quo and explore more effective and efficient ways to get things done
  • Identify new ideas that drive commercial outcomes through a shared strategic vision
  • Consumer-led; Understand the value of key consumer segments
