General Manager, Customer - Education
About the Business
Our client is a leading services organisation that specialises in creating value through innovative and sustainable solutions. They are a customer-focused, growth-driven organisation, and are currently going through an exciting phase of transformation with a clearly defined 3 year strategic plan.
About the Role
This senior position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and is a key member of the comemrcial leadership team. This role is responsible for the continued revenue, gross margin and customer channel growth for the Education market across the majority of the company’s core products and service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
• Developing new profitable business, achievement of the annual sales and margin budget
• Building major customer relationships, expanding the customer/membership and actively contributing to the successful development of the Education sector for the business.
• The position plays a key role in sales strategy and future growth of the organisation.
Skills & Experience
The individual will have a strong commercial background, they will be a sound negotiator that sells on value and can demonstrate how they have delivered growth from key customers within Education. They will also have the following skillset:
• Commercial exposure to education markets is required.
• Strong commercial experience operating in a multi sector sales or operational environment within the education sector, ideally at a national level.
• Demonstrated success in business development and customer channel growth
• An experienced senior sale and or business development professional, with a solid understanding of account management, sales administration and business pitch/tender processes
• Prior demonstrated experience effectively managing people located in geographic regions.
