Extel are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to accelerate our next phase of growth. This is a rare opportunity to join the executive team of a highly respected, privately held, advanced electronics manufacturing leader and a real success story here in Australia, play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s commercial strategy and market expansion both here in Australia and the USA market.
The Role:
As the CGO, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic hands-on business development, customer acquisition, and working directly for the CEO and alongside the Chief Business Officer (CBO) on alignment of the sales and marketing initiatives. Reporting jointly with the CBO, you will initially focus on leading and expanding Australian sales operations, while supporting seamless collaboration with the USA-based teams. Over time, the remit role will broaden to include group marketing and, ultimately, global sales leadership.

Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing growth strategies to expand Extel’s market presence in Australia and internationally
- Building and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers in technical industries, including at the C-suite level
- Leading and developing a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- First review of contracts and recommendations of changes of concerns in the interest of the business
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities, while growing existing accounts
- Aligning sales and marketing functions to deliver integrated, data-driven growth initiatives
- Supporting Extel’s unique dual-continent manufacturing capability, ensuring seamless customer experience across Australia and the USA
- You are a strategic and hands-on executive with a proven track record in business development, sales leadership, and customer acquisition within advanced manufacturing, electronics, technical or engineering sectors.
- Strong industry expertise and networks across any of our strategically important customer segments – Aerospace & Defense, Medical Devices, Security Technology and Autonomous Vehicle Manufacturing.
- You will be degree qualified in engineering or a relatable subject such as Business or Marketing and have a strong technical aptitude
- Leading cross-functional teams and driving revenue growth in complex, high-reliability environments
- Engaging with senior stakeholders and developing commercial partnerships at the highest levels
- Demonstrated success in both Australian and international (ideally US) markets
- Strong capability in technical solution selling and a data-driven approach to growth
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
