About the role
The role takes on complete accountability for the national operation with plans to double in capacity, establish presence across new territories, and diversify to an expanded service offering to meet customer requirements. Key responsibilities include:
• Assessment of business capabality and positioning to develop company strategy, identify new service offerings, and unlock growth opportunities
• Lead the national operations and expansion plan, along with mentoring leaders across logistics, customer experience, and business development
• Optimisation of the warehouse footprint, management of an operations team of circa 70 staff, and delivery of a WMS systems implementation
• Building visibility and forming strategic partnerships, including representing the business in the industry events
• Drive culture, performance, and long-term vision, and collaborate closely with centralised group functions
Skills & Experience
The role is best suited to a commercially driven supply chain executive, who may be a in a client side role at the moment, who possesses a passion for logistics and the energy and drive to build something of their own. Strategic thinking, people leadership, and operational excellence are also key, along with a confidence that will represent the brand effectively in market.
