About the role
A change in operational structure has created a gap to manage the Day Shift, with a production workforce of circa 60-80 heads on this shift and backed by a wave of future leaders ready to learn "what good looks like" to take the next step in their own development. The plant has been through recent expansion projects, boasting increased production capability and now is well placed for a production leader with a strong people-centric approach to help take operations to the next level. - Driving end to end accountability across production volumes, safety, quality and efficiencies (yield)
- Development of the frontline leadership team (supervisors, leading hands)
- Execution of training plans for the production workforce, building skills and crosstraining
What we are looking for
This role will suit a people-leader within the FMCG space who's able to demonstrate a contemporary leadership approach, lead by example and work with their team to set a high baseline of standards for the plant to deliver. Specific things to consider are
- Leadership exposure at the shift manager/production supervisor/area manager level within the FMCG space
- A track record of developing your team, be it your direct reports or your wider workforce
- Crossfunctional exposure - you know how to work with peer teams in quality and supply chain
- Sound exposure across CI and OH&S methodologies
