Head of Sales - Melbourne SAAS H/O
The Role
Reporting into the executive leadership team, the Head of Sales will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for the organisation’s sales function across Australia and New Zealand. This role requires a commercially astute and hands-on leader capable of balancing strategic oversight with active market engagement. As a player-coach, the Head of Sales will lead from the front — mentoring and developing the sales team while maintaining close engagement with key customers and partners.
The position oversees an external sales team of seven representatives across Queensland, Sydney, Victoria, and New Zealand, focused on driving new site acquisition, alongside an internal sales team responsible for add-on product sales and customer expansion.The role will ensure alignment between new business development, account growth, and long-term customer value.
A key aspect of the position will be building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate accounts and strategic partners. Acting as a senior commercial representative for the organisation, the Head of Sales will engage confidently with C-suite stakeholders and senior decision-makers across a diverse network of their customers.
Success in the role will be defined by the ability to deliver sustained revenue growth, expand adoption of the organisation’s core cloud platform, and identify new opportunities for cross-sell and upsell across the customer base. The role will also play an important part in developing sales capability, embedding consistent sales processes, and driving adoption of structured methodologies such as the Challenger Sales methodology.

You are a proven sales leader with a strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams within growth-oriented environments. You bring a balanced leadership style that combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to coaching, mentoring, and commercial execution. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, you are adept at navigating complex stakeholder environments and building trusted relationships with senior executives, corporate partners, and frontline practitioners alike.
You are equally passionate about developing people as you are about delivering commercial outcomes, with the ability to motivate ambitious sales professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Experience within a SaaS or technology-enabled business environment will be highly regarded, along with strong familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot.

• Experience embedding structured sales frameworks, including methodologies such as the Challenger Sales methodology
• Strong analytical capability and comfort leveraging CRM systems, particularly HubSpot, to drive performance and sales insights
• Experience working within or alongside SaaS-based business models
