As the business evolves, Sitro is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the leadership team and play a key role in strengthening the finance function and supporting future growth.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Group CFO, the Financial Controller will act as the senior operational finance leader across the group, responsible for strengthening the commercial capability, productivity and effectiveness of the finance function.
Leading a team of approximately eight across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and management accounting, this role will focus on improving financial reporting, enhancing internal controls and providing stronger commercial insight to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Reporting
- Lead month-end close, group consolidation and management reporting
- Improve the clarity, quality and commercial relevance of financial outputs
- Deliver accurate and insightful monthly and quarterly reporting for the executive team
- Provide insight into margins, inventory, pricing and purchasing decisions
- Strengthen forecasting, budgeting and cost centre discipline
- Act as a commercial finance partner to the leadership team
- Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital and treasury oversight
- Improve visibility and discipline across AR, AP and inventory management
- Ensure alignment between stock levels, purchasing decisions and cash outcomes
- Leverage Microsoft Dynamics Business Central to improve automation and reporting capability
- Simplify and standardise finance processes across the group
- Strengthen internal controls and documentation
- Lead, coach and develop the finance team
- Establish clear expectations around communication, accountability and performance
- Improve collaboration between finance and the broader organisation
You are a commercially minded finance leader who combines strong technical capability with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and support strategic decision-making.
You will bring:
- Proven Financial Controller or senior finance leadership experience
- Background within wholesale distribution, retail, manufacturing, chemicals, agri-business or product-based environments
- Strong technical accounting capability and commercial acumen
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing finance teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar
