About the company
This is one of Australia’s best-known building materials groups, supplying concrete, asphalt, quarry materials and cement to construction projects across the country. With a history stretching back over seventy-five years, the business has played a major role in shaping Australia’s infrastructure — from suburban driveways to national highways. Locally, it operates a network of plants across the Southern Highlands and Tablelands region, backed by strong technical, logistics and customer support.

About the role
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll manage a diverse customer base covering Goulburn through to Picton with the sweat spot being Southern Highlands. The work is a balance of maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and developing new business opportunities as the region grows. Your customers will include residential builders, concreters, manufacturers and trade clients, with infrastructure projects starting to gain momentum as Sydney’s growth edges south.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of loyal, long-term customers while identifying new project leads and opportunities.
  • Develop pricing strategies, quotes and tenders aligned with business objectives and regional market trends.
  • Collaborate closely with technical specialists to ensure product specifications and mix designs meet customer needs.
  • Track performance through Salesforce, maintain data accuracy, and contribute to forecasting and pipeline reviews.
  • Represent the business professionally on job sites, customer meetings and industry events across the region.
Ideal experience
We’re looking for a sales professional who knows how to operate in the building or construction materials space — someone commercially disciplined who thrives on balancing relationship management with growth targets.
  • Experience in concrete, quarry, cement, or related tradesupply products, accustomed to dealing with residential builders, concreters and small trade businesses.
  • Strong sales drive, comfortable with KPIs, quoting and negotiation, and confident managing your own pipeline.
  • Eager to build market share under initiatives focused on growth and data quality.
  • Down-to-earth style that fits a practical team, able to work independently but willing to collaborate and share insights.

This is a grounded role in a well-established business with strong technical backup, genuine autonomy and a clear development path for driven sales professionals who enjoy being visible on site and in their community.
