THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re proud to be partnering exclusively with Vicinity Centres to appoint a Head of Digital Marketing. This is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the end-to-end digital vision across a leading, consumer-led portfolio. This role will lead both the Digital Marketing and Product & Platform functions, driving innovation, elevating customer experience and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.
 
THE BUSINESS
Vicinity Centres is one of Australia’s leading retail property groups, known for creating dynamic, customer-first destinations. Sitting within the Brand & Marketing team, this role plays a central part in aligning digital strategy with broader brand vision and commercial objectives, while building a future-focused, high-performing digital function.
 
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the end-to-end digital strategy across marketing and product & platform, aligned to brand vision and commercial objectives
  • Drive integrated, performance-led campaigns across owned, earned and paid channels to deliver acquisition, engagement and retention
  • Leverage customer, trade area and market insights to optimise end-to-end journeys and digital performance
  • Oversee all digital channels and platforms (website/CMS, martech stack, data & analytics, social, email, paid media)
  • Own and evolve the digital product & platform roadmap, enabling personalisation, experimentation and scalable growth
  • Embed digital capability across the marketing function, aligning investment and priorities to broader business goals
  • Lead continuous improvement across digital capability, tooling, processes and ways of working
  • Manage budgets with clear ROI accountability and deliver insight-led performance reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Lead and optimise agency, vendor and platform partnerships to ensure best-in-class delivery and commercial outcomes
  • Build and lead a high-performing, collaborative team, driving capability uplift, strong culture and performance in a complex, matrixed environment
 
KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Senior digital marketing leader (15+ years' experience) within retail, property, shopping centres or similar
  • Proven track record delivering modern, performance-led digital outcomes across acquisition, engagement and retention
  • Deep expertise across digital channels (owned, earned, paid) supported by strong martech and platform capability
  • Highly analytical and insight-led, with the ability to translate customer and trade area data into actionable strategy
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving measurable business outcomes
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams in complex, matrixed organisations
  • Exceptional stakeholder leadership, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across the business
  • Strong understanding of data, privacy, legal and governance frameworks
