The business partners with a large portfolio of mid-market, high-growth brands across sectors such as apparel, electronics, furniture and lifestyle products, supporting their warehousing, fulfilment and distribution operations across Australia.
The company has experienced consistent growth and continues to win new customers through reputation and service capability. As a result, they are looking to strengthen their key account management function to ensure key customers are retained, supported and grown over the long term.
Role Overview
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic customers, focused on retention, relationship management and identifying opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts.
This is not a new business role. The focus is on building strong, long-term partnerships with customers, understanding their operations and growth plans, and working closely with internal teams to ensure service delivery and continuous improvement across each account.
A strong understanding of warehousing, 3PL, contract logistics or fulfilment operations is essential, as customers are operationally focused businesses and expect their Account Manager to understand supply chain processes, warehousing operations, transport flows, and fulfilment environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and retain a portfolio of key customer accounts
- Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and operational teams
- Conduct regular account reviews and performance discussions
- Identify opportunities for account growth, additional services and operational improvements
- Act as the main commercial contact for customers, including contracts and service discussions
- Work closely with operations, customer service and management teams to ensure service delivery
- Maintain proactive communication to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s business, growth plans and operational requirements
Skills and Attributes
- Experience in 3PL, warehousing, contract logistics or fulfilment is required
- Experience managing key accounts
- Strong relationship management and customer retention focus
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify growth opportunities within accounts
- Good operational understanding of warehousing and logistics processes
- Comfortable working in a mid-sized, fast-moving business environment
- Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple accounts at once
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
