Six Degrees is partnering with a large Queensland Government organisation to recruit two AO5-level opportunities within a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

These roles sit across two separate teams but offer similar exposure, working closely with senior leaders to support key functions across the organisation. Both positions will suit candidates who enjoy working at pace, managing competing priorities, and playing a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.

One role sits within a particularly high-volume, high-pressure operational environment, supporting a senior leader and division through a busy period of activity, including events, correspondence and shifting priorities. The second role sits within a globally connected team, supporting international operations, with a strong focus on correspondence, briefings and stakeholder coordination across a broad network.
Across both roles, you will:
  • Provide high-level executive and administrative support, including diary and inbox management, travel coordination, and meeting support
  • Coordinate and prepare briefings, reports, correspondence and presentations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with government standards
  • Manage workflows, tracking priorities, approvals and deadlines across the team
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives and government offices
  • Support coordination across business operations, including document control, reporting and process improvement
  • Assist with meetings, events and broader team deliverables
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, judgement and confidentiality
These roles operate in fast-paced, high-volume environments, requiring someone who can bring structure, organisation and calm to competing priorities.

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:
  • A strong service mindset, with the ability to support senior stakeholders effectively
  • Confidence without ego, with the ability to manage up and influence outcomes
  • High levels of organisation, adaptability and resilience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in preparing correspondence and briefings
  • Previous experience in executive support, operations coordination or similar roles
