From a well established local footprint, they supply nationally across multiple channels and have actively invested heavily to support their commercial growth agenda. A business committed to product quality and food safety, this newly created specialist appointment is reflective of ongoing commitment to raising the bar of what "great" looks like. 

This role is based in a major regional manufacturing hub. 

More on the role
This newly created individual contributor role is a bit unique to your traditional Quality Manager role.
You will be supported by a peer level technical leader with a well established team that focuses on the compliance and QC process, freeing you up to play a key hand in the development of operational quality and product integrity.

You will report to a GM Level peer with a mandate to coach, influence and embed best-practice quality behaviours across the sizeable operational footprint. This will involve working closely with the production team to proactively address issues, strengthen processes and move the needle on customer quality outcomes. 

What we are looking for 
This role is well suited to either an emerging quality leader who might be stepping into a standalone leadership role for the first time, or an existing Quality Manager who is keen to step away from the granular outcomes and focus more on a macro program of work. Things we are looking for include:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Food Science
  • FMCG exposure is essential for this role
  • Strong understanding of retailer standards, as well as governing programs such as HACCP, GMP and labelling/regulatory requirement 
  • A demonstrated approach around consulting and coaching when handling FSQ outcomes and an ability to work cross-functionally
