About the role
The Senior Account Manager for NSW and QLD is responsible for leading relationships with major customers across the Household and Industrial Packaging division. You’ll manage a mix of existing accounts while developing new business, working within an organisation known for technical capability, sustainability and product innovation.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you’ll combine strategic and hands-on approaches — identifying growth opportunities, shaping account direction, and driving value across commercial, technical and environmental outcomes. This role balances customer partnership with business development and is ideally suited to a commercially experienced professional with confidence engaging at senior decision-maker level.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key packaging accounts across NSW and QLD.
  • Identify up-sell, cross-sell and new business opportunities through insight-driven account planning.
  • Build strong partnerships through proactive service, collaboration and a thorough understanding of customer needs.
  • Negotiate and manage supply agreements to enhance profitability and customer value.
  • Develop proposals and pricing strategies that align with both commercial and sustainability goals.
  • Partner with internal teams across operations, technical, and product development to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Provide regular business updates, forecasts and analysis to inform strategic planning and performance reviews.
  • Represent the business at industry and client forums, promoting leadership in circular and sustainable packaging.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and mentor to team members, helping improve collaboration, culture and growth mindset.

Ideal background
  • Experienced in account management or business development within packaging, manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to meet revenue and margin targets.
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining long-term customer partnerships.
  • Skilled negotiator with strategic selling and solution-based approach.
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Understanding of sustainable packaging trends and circular economy principles.
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Commerce or a related field, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
