The Business
Ultra Violette is Australia’s cult SPF brand, known for redefining sunscreen through premium skincare innovation, bold brand identity, and culturally relevant storytelling. With strong local traction, the business is now scaling globally, particularly in the US via its partnership with Sephora. The ambition is to build a social-first, culturally fluent brand that turns sunscreen into content people actively choose to engage with.
 
The Role
This is a newly created leadership role at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and culture. As Head of Social Content Strategy, you will own the end-to-end social ecosystem, shaping how the brand shows up globally across platforms. You will lead the evolution from a product-led brand to a content-led, community-powered experience, building a social universe that extends beyond SPF into culture, conversation, and entertainment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute a multi-platform social and content strategy across organic, creators, and emerging channels
  • Translate cultural moments and trends into brand-relevant, high-impact storytelling
  • Reimagine campaigns and product launches as social-first, shareable content moments
  • Build scalable launch playbooks driven by community engagement and creator participation
  • Oversee content planning and calendars to ensure consistency and global relevance
  • Expand into new formats and platforms, with a focus on TikTok and short-form video
  • Drive US audience growth while maintaining global brand consistency
  • Balance brand storytelling with performance, optimising engagement, sentiment, and growth
  • Analyse performance data and translate insights into actionable strategy improvements
  • Lead and mentor the Social Content Producer and manage content budgets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver platform-native, culturally driven campaigns
  • Foster community engagement and turn audience feedback into strategic insights
 
Key Requirements
  • 5–7+ years’ experience in social media, content strategy, or digital marketing
  • Proven ability to balance creative storytelling with performance outcomes
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, algorithms, and emerging trends
  • Strong creative, copywriting, and storytelling capability
  • End-to-end content production experience, from briefing to execution and delivery
  • Experience working across global markets or scaling brands internationally
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Passion for beauty, skincare, and culturally driven brands
  • Relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
