AO3 Operations Officer

Six Degrees is currently partnering with a large Queensland Government property and workplace services team to recruit an AO3 Operations Officer for an immediate start in Cannon Hill.
This is a part-time opportunity suited to someone who enjoys a varied, site-based role combining administration, customer service, workplace coordination, and day-to-day operational support. Working within a small and supportive team, the successful candidate will help ensure the smooth running of a busy flexible work centre used by government employees.

This role would suit someone who is proactive, organised, personable, and confident working autonomously while still contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations and administration of the work centre
  • Provide front-of-house style customer service and on-site support to centre users
  • Register, induct, and assist users of the facility
  • Manage shared inbox correspondence and respond to general enquiries
  • Coordinate supplies, consumables, deliveries, and minor site-related works
  • Assist with contractors and support general workplace coordination tasks
  • Manage booking and security systems to support site access and desk usage
  • Assist with weekly reporting and general operational administration
  • Travel to other locations from time to time for routine site inspections
  • Support workplace health, safety, and emergency responsibilities onsite
About You:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Sound judgement, with the ability to show patience, empathy, assertiveness, and conflict resolution when needed
  • Well organised and capable of managing changing priorities in a site-based environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills across Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of daily site operations
  • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to assist with occasional additional coverage when required
Role Requirements:
  • Part-time, 3 days per week, 8 hours per day
  • Monday and Friday are fixed work days, with the third day open to negotiation
  • Based onsite in Cannon Hill
  • No working from home due to the nature of the role
  • Flexibility to provide occasional additional coverage is required
  • Valid Queensland driver licence required
  • Candidates living close to Cannon Hill will be highly regarded
  • First Aid certification will be viewed favourably
