About the Company

Our client is a well-established and purpose-led Australian financial services organisation with a strong national footprint and an ambitious growth agenda. With a reputation built on trust, service and long-term relationships, they provide essential services to a loyal and growing customer base.
Operating within a regulated environment, the business is continuing to invest in technology, operational excellence and governance capability to support future growth. As part of this journey, they are now seeking to appoint a newly created procurement role to strengthen commercial outcomes, supplier management and risk controls across the organisation.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to establish and lead procurement capability within a business where third-party suppliers play a critical role in day-to-day operations. Reporting to a senior executive, you will partner across technology, finance, risk and operations to drive value, improve governance and build fit-for-purpose procurement processes.
With a large proportion of spend across technology and outsourced services, this role will suit someone who enjoys being hands-on while also creating longer-term strategy and structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement activity across key spend categories
  • Manage supplier tender processes, negotiations and contract renewals
  • Build strong supplier governance and performance management frameworks
  • Develop procurement policies, processes and reporting capability
  • Improve visibility of supplier spend, contracts and commercial opportunities
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver value-driven procurement outcomes
  • Support third-party risk management and regulatory compliance obligations
  • Review and strengthen supplier due diligence, controls and documentation
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on procurement and supplier matters
  • Drive continuous improvement across procurement maturity and capability
About You
  • Proven procurement experience within financial services, with demonstrated experience across CPS230
  • Strong commercial negotiation and contract management capability
  • Ability to build processes, influence stakeholders and work autonomously
  • Experience across technology, indirects or professional services categories
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at executive level
  • Pragmatic, hands-on and comfortable operating in a growing environment

Why Apply

This is an outstanding opportunity to step into a high-visibility role where you can genuinely shape procurement capability, influence senior leaders and make a measurable impact within a respected Australian organisation.
