The Business
This is an opportunity to lead two mid-market size businesses that help Australian organisations manage compliance & risk, respond to crises and maintain safe, compliant operations. The group brings together a soft FM service provider and a consulting advisory business, operating across all sectors with a particular focus on commercial property owners for FM services and corporate clients for risk advisory and finding synergies in the GTM for the benefit of each entity. Both businesses have have significant growth potential. The CEO will have the opportunity to shape what that looks like, a rare opportunity for commercial and strategic creativity.
The Role
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will take full ownership and accountability of both businesses — people & culture the main priority, innovation centred around operational efficiency and productivity gains, more strategic approach to market development, commercial uplift & capability building, customer engagement and growth of both top and bottom line. Key priorities will also include leading a digital transformation to modernise systems, streamline delivery and improve how the business uses data; managing costs and improving margins; and ensuring a consistently high standard of service across both businesses. This is a hands-on leadership role and will be customer-facing. You will be working closely with your leadership team to build culture, lift performance and create a business that is greater than the sum of its parts.
The Person
You are an experienced FM Services leader who has run a P&L and knows what it takes to grow a B2B services business, particularly in the FM services, commercial property or adjacent spaces with dispersed field-based teams spread across a national footprint. You are comfortable being hands-on, booking your own travel and have navigated a business integration or significant transformation and commercial uplift before. You bring a practical, commercial mindset — you can analyse a business, identify where the value is and make clear decisions. You will have an appreciation for digital transformation — not as a technology project, but as a way of running a more efficient and productive business. Whether through smarter systems, improved data visibility or more scalable delivery models, you understand how to use technology to drive real commercial outcomes including use of AI to enhance teams' capabilities, not replace them. You are a strong communicator, credible with a board, entrepreneurial and the kind of leader people want to work hard for.
