Manufacturing Manager
A high‑growth Australian manufacturer is entering a pivotal scale‑up phase and is seeking a senior, commercially minded Head of Manufacturing to help scale and grow the production capabilities of the organisation. Currently operating out of 1 site they are looking at expansion to a multi site national footprint in the next 5 years.
This is not a steady‑state role. It is a transformation and performance mandate for a leader who knows how to turn factories into a unified, high‑performing system that can support accelerated growth.
The Opportunity Reporting to the executive team, you will take full accountability for manufacturing performance across multiple sites nationally. Your remit spans safety, quality, throughput, productivity, cost and capacity, with a clear focus on lifting operational performance and building scalable capability for future demand.
You’ll set the operating rhythm, embed discipline and drive continuous improvement—while developing strong plant leadership and a culture of accountability and pace.

- Drive improvements in throughput, labour productivity, utilisation and OEE
- Embed Lean manufacturing and operational excellence disciplines
- Build capacity and resilience to support growth, automation and capital investment
- Lift quality outcomes and reduce defects, rework and warranty exposure
- Develop high‑performing site leadership teams and champion safety
- Partner closely with supply chain, engineering, sales and procurement to improve end‑to‑end performance
You: You are a proven manufacturing leader, ideally in a growth or transformation environment. You bring:
- Strong operational excellence / Lean capability
- A track record of lifting productivity, quality and cost performance
- Experience scaling manufacturing capacity and systems
- Commercial acumen and data‑driven decision making
- A hands‑on, outcomes‑focused leadership style with strategic depth
